Who we are

Fairly is an Android app for couples to split shared expenses in proportion to income, developed by Fairly App ("we", "us"). You can contact us at hello@livefairly.app.

What data the app uses

Everything you enter in Fairly, such as incomes, shared costs, names and the adjustments you choose, is stored on your device. It is not sent to us or to any server run by us. The app works without an internet connection and does not require you to create an account. The only times a copy of your data leaves the app are the ones you choose or control yourself, described below.

What we don't do

• We don't collect personal data from the app.
• We don't use analytics or crash-reporting services.
• We don't show ads or use advertising identifiers.
• We don't connect to your bank or read your transactions.
• We don't sell or share your data, because we don't have it.

Free trial and purchase

Fairly is free to try for 30 days. If you decide to keep it, you can make a one-time in-app purchase. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details; Google tells the app only whether the purchase is active. Nothing is charged automatically. Google's handling of your payment information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Backups and exports

If Google backup is turned on in your Android settings, your device may include Fairly's data in its backup to your Google account, so it can be restored on a new phone. This is controlled by you and by Google, not by us, and you can turn it off in your device settings.

Fairly can also export your data as a backup file, CSV or PDF. These are created on your device and handed to the share sheet, so you decide where they go (for example Google Drive or email). We never receive them.

This website

The income calculator on this website runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not stored or sent anywhere. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and, if you open the Google Play link, Google's own policies apply on their pages.

Your control and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you control it. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android settings deletes it.

Children

Fairly is intended for adults managing shared household finances and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date above.
